Trent Taylor

Born and raised on acreage in rural Melbourne, my obsession with the outdoors started young.
A degree in Industrial Design allows me a deeper understanding of outdoor construction, while over 20 years experience in landscaping has armed me with the skills to bring your outdoor vision to life.

With fine tuned stone masonry skills and a keen eye for detail, I headed a small Melbourne based landscape team focused on residential landscapes.

I balanced the weeks chasing waves until a commercial landscape company offered me a lucrative opportunity which enabled me sell my business, pack up my city life and bring my landscaping skills to Geelong and the Surf Coast.

I worked as a sole landscape contractor within some well established Geelong landscape companies which afforded me some incomparable experiences including:

– Melbourne Flower and Garden Show (2018-2019, 2021-2022)
– New Zealand Flower and Garden Show (2019)
– 2 seasons on The Block (2021-2022)

Southern Ground Landscapes allows me to blend my design knowledge, extensive landscaping experience and relentless attention to detail.
